Toppers

Author's note: I picked a word from my friend Alex and it was Toppers

Toppers is a restaurant that has pizza and boneless wings. I will usually get just that, pizza and wings. I do not always go there I usually only go there if I am to lazy to go somewhere nice. But there food is good not the best but it is good. Off the top of my head I cannot remember the last time I was there, but I know what I got pizza and wings, I get that every time I go there no matter what.

Big YellowTaxi & Field Below Response

The music threw me off in the "Big Yellow Taxi" because I was expecting  depressing crap, but, when she played it wasn’t deep and depressing it was kind of cheerful and when she played the counting crows version. I noticed that I have heard the song before. So the up beat rhythm in "Big Yellow Taxi sort" of went against the meaning of the song, which was a sort of depressing song about loss and sorrow. So the music did not really reflect the lyrics.

In the song "Field Below" went how I thought it would slow depressing about someone missing something in their life but what through me off was that a girl was singing the song that is the only thing that caught me off guard. But the rhythm of the song went how I thought it was. So the beat reflected the lyrics very and really gave me the deep depressing feeling.

Character

Cole Matthews Knelt blames everyone and everything for his problems. He does not know what trust is he only trusts people that are afraid of him because if there are scared of him he knows they won’t mess with or betray him. And he won’t accept help from anyone because he thinks he can do it all on his own and he doesn’t need anybody. He is also lying to Garvey about wanting to change but he really is changing.

Sad Day

Author's note: This story is not true it came from my head, and is not to be used in an illegal activity; if it is used in any illegal activity there will be a $1000 fine. I chose the third one to put in my story because it fit pretty well with what was going on in the story

It was a stormy day in New York, the sky swelled with anger as it progressed worse and worse after time went by. The streets were empty except for one, David, he just got of the night shift as at the drug store it had been a long hard day for he had to do inventory for 4 hours. as he was heading home he noticed that it was quiet not a noise except for the wind, thunder, and the sound of billions of rain drops hitting the ground. He saw lightning in the distance it flashed bright enough to light the whole street. And that is when he noticed that he was not the only one on the side walk there was an African American man coming towards him he could not see his face. For it was too dark as the only light was the blinking street lamp and the thrashing lightning in the sky. Before he knew it the man was less than ten feet away and the five then bam they run into each other the African American man quickly apologizes. So David thought nothing of it and never looked back. So he kept on his way to the bus station for he had not time to walk the hour and a half to his apartment building. So he stops and waits for the bus to pull up front and ten minutes come buy and there is no sign of the bus so he wait some more and the bus final gets there after 20 minutes of waiting in the rain the man just wants to get on the bus and go home. As he gets on the bus the bus driver puts out his hand so David reaches in his pocket and he is stunned his money its gone he quickly checks the other pocket and nothing. David froze, checking his pockets. Where was his money he knew he had ten dollars in his pocket. Then he thinks the man on the sidewalk why would he run into him when nobody else is around the side walk have plenty of space for them to walk by each other so why did he do it? Then it hit him the man ran into him on propose so he could get close enough to take his money from his pocket. David never got to take the bus home he had to walk which ended up taking 2 hours after waiting for the bus. So he was mad so mad when he got home he was soaked in water so he punched a hole in the wall and since he did not own it and it was an apartment he had to pay 20 dollars to get it fixed. So that went down in history as one of the worst days of his life right next to his divorce.

Point of View

What is this? Where did it come from? Have you ever asked yourself these questions? The villagers did in the story Dead Man’s Path when their ancient path to visit their loved ones who have passed on has been dissevered. By a man who always thinks he is doing the right thing. Even when he is wrong he can’t see it, and for that he is punished.

This is told from the point of view from the priest. The priest one day gets some complaints that their path is closed. He feels dread for he knows this path very well. So the priest thinks it is probably the head master of the school for the path run through the school yard so I will have to talk to him. Later at the school with the priest and the head master, please sir you have to take down the fence the path has been there for century’s no. the headmaster said your spirits won’t mind a little detour around the school. Sir I must insist, no said the head master. The next day the headmaster went to the school he so hardly worked to build and it was a disaster. For his flowers were torn out of the ground, and a whole part of the school was clasped. It was the villagers they weren’t happy and now neither was the headmaster the priest knew this would happen and tried to help but he wouldn’t listen. Now when the inspector came to see the school he looked away with a grin and gave a poor rating. And with the poor rating he never got to have a nice school.

The consequences, they are sieve but it could of all been avoided if he listened to the priest. But the headmaster was too arrogant to see past his own ways. To be educated does not make you better than someone else maybe they didn’t want a school they have make it that far without it. So the story proves that change is not always the solution, so if it’s not broken don’t fix it.

Football is better than Soccer

Football is a sport that greatly exceeds all others. No matter the sport football is better, especially soccer because of these five major reasons.

Reason one: in football you run and rip someone to the ground and then do a happy dance. In soccer you run and slide and hit someone in the shin guard? And then help them up? Reason two: in football you use brute strength to throw a ball 85-yards for six points. In soccer you use your whole body strength to kick a ball 85 yards for a slight chance at one point. Reason three: in football when you score, you run around and head-butt each other and chest bump each other, because it’s awesome. In soccer when you score a point you high five each other and only head-butt when you’re angry. Reason four: football is the number1 contact sport, soccer is number 2. Reason five: more people watch football in America than soccer and that's because we suck at soccer and are amazing at football. So, there you go; my favorite reasons why football is better than soccer.
Football is just an overall better sport than soccer no matter what. Soccer is for boys, football is for men.

comparing

Has there ever been such similar people but that were also so different? Yes the book Point Blank and Fighting Ground they have a major similarities but also many differences. These books take place hundreds of years apart and yet they have a lot of similarities. But since they take place so far apart the tools and resources are much different.

In the book Fighting Ground there is a boy name Jonathan, he really wants to go to war. I know what you’re thinking who would ever want to go to war. I don't think he really wants to go to war I think he just wants to fight for his country even when no fighting is needed. Or he just wants the thrill or excitement he thinks he'll get from battle. This book shows both of them. So I think he is a very arrogant kid for he actually goes in to battle and finds out how bad it is. When he learns this he gets captured by the hessians. When the hessians fell asleep Jonathon was able to get the rope from around his ankle off, he could of just left but he didn’t know what would happen to the little boy he found in the barn so he stayed for a while then decided to take the little boy with him and he carried the little boy for at least 2 miles. Until he saw something through the woods it was a light from the camp from his seven or eight solders he had with he when he fought the hessians.

In the book Point Blank there is a boy, but not just any boy he is probably one of if not the bravest kid in the world. But is it bravery or is it stupidity. For he has to do stuff that no boy has ever done before and probably never will be done. His name is Alex, Alex Rider. He is going under cover in as a rich kid to find out what is happening at the school. They think that there is a connection between the deaths of some very power full men who sent their kids to the school. And MI6 sent Alex in to investigate, the setting of the book takes place in London. But unlike Jonathon he was sent into the school with high tech tool he had a CD player that when you put in the Beethoven and press fast forward three time it turns into a diamond saw also the ear stud when it is unscrewed it turn into a mini grenade. There might be many differences but there are also many similarities.

They both do stuff that they should not do Jonathon goes to war at the age of 13 and Alex goes undercover to expose an evil plot. They are both put in grave danger because they can both be killed at any moment. But they both accepted what needed to be done so even though they could have left at any moment they didn’t. They could have left because MI6 gave Alex a little transmitter that would send a signal to tell them to go get him if he got the evidence or needed any help. When Jonathon could of left his captors and escaped and he did but not until he saved the little boy from the hessians. So they both want to go home but they can’t because they had to finish what they started in Fighting Ground he had to go and kill the hessian which surprisingly they grew on him but it didn’t matter because they were going to be killed. In Point Blank after he escaped from the jail they put him in when they found out he was agent. He skied down the hill being shot at and crashed into a barbed wire fence. He still had to go back to the school with MI6 to finish the business and take out the bad guy.

So these characters are alike because they went off to do something hard and got out of there barley and had to go back with a team to take out the bad people even when they didn’t want to. And a lot different because of not only the time period but what they had to do and how they did it.
